SolarSheat 1500G Product description: The SolarSheat 1500G is a glazed recirculation solar air collector designed for space heating applications. Air is drawn from inside the room through the bottom of the collector and blown out through a duct in the top. The unit is self-powered. No electrical hook-up required. SolarSheat 1500GS Product description: The SolarSheat 1500GS uses heat energy from the sun that would normally strike the roof or exterior wall, to heat your home. Each 1500GS can heat a room up to 1,000 sq-ft (92 sq. meters) (depending on heat loss and solar gain). StoreSolarSheat 2 Pak Product description: The SolarSheat 1500G 2 Pak can supplement the heat for a large room up to 1500 square feet* in the daytime and installs in a few hours on a south facing wall or roof.** TheSolarSheat 1500G 2 Pak can drive solar heated air through a wall or through a cathedral ceiling. For longer duct runs, solar powered booster fans are available. It's the perfect heater when there is a large area to heat, adjacent to the south facing wall or roof**, high temperature rises (40ºF & higher) and/or cloudy weather performance are desired. A duct kit, including a digital thermostat, is included with the SolarSheat 2 Pak. The solar powered fan keeps it electrically separate from the rest of the house. Tough tempered glass keeps the air hot even during cold and windy winter days. The fan is built into the collector so installation is a snap! *depending on heat loss and solar gain. **with cathedral ceiling SolarSheat Multi-Room Heating Systems Product description: Heat from one to eight individual rooms with SolarSheat Multi-Room Space Heating Systems. Each system includes 1-8 SolarSheat 1500GS panels, an appropriately sized fan, controls, duct kit, side hole gaskets, detailed instructions, etc. The table below summarizes each system. The 1501 DC and 1502 DC are powered with PV panels to keep the whole system electrically separate from the rest of the home! Tools are available to choose the correct duct type depending on the situation. SolarSheat Multi-Room Space Heating Systems are compatible with our Two Stage Zone Control System, to add further intelligence to the system. Collectors may be mounted on the roof or wall. There are several companies that do. We used one company from southern California and we are not happy with the customer service and cooperation from that manufacturer. There is a local Montana company that we have heard good things about called Independent Power. Snowbird Homes and Land recommends that you contact various solar distributors and manufactures on your own. Please consult Backwoods Home for your solar needs. In the future we will be developing our own, similar power unit as pictured so that we can provide good customer service. |
